Email Templates
This feature allows you to customize event reminders and other emails.
Editing Templates
To edit email templates, go to Manage Events, select your event, and then select Email Templates.
You'll see a list of Email Templates here, including the header and footer which are added to all emails.
To edit account related emails (e.g. account activation, forgot password, verify email, etc), click on Global Settings and then click on Email Templates.
You're able to edit the HTML, CSS and plain text for each template.
Plain text emails are used if the user's email client does not support HTML.
You can also view a preview of how they email will look, and you can send test emails to yourself so you can view them directly in your email client.
Editing CSS
When adding CSS, we recommend using simple class selectors such as .my-text-color.
For example, if your element is <p>My text</p>, you can add a class to it as follows:
<p class="my-text-color">My text</p>.
Your CSS code to change the text color is then:
.my-text-color {
color: blue;
}
Using simple class selectors allows us to inline CSS for your emails, which allows broader support for email clients.
If you use more complex selectors, your emails may not show up correctly on older email clients.
Uploading images
You can upload images that can be used in the HTML or CSS.
For example, if you uploaded an image in the [[Image1]] slot, you can use it in the HTML as follows:
<img src="[[Image1]]" alt="My image">
